Monsplasty (FUPA Reduction) - St. Louis
What is a FUPA vs a FUPA reduction?
FUPA refers to the “fatty upper pubic area” and is known as the “mons pubis.” When this area is full and prominent, it is called the FUPA. For many, FUPA goes hand in hand with labia enlargement, but not always; you can have one without the other. How does it happen? The main causes of FUPA are weight fluctuations, pregnancy, and genetics. When there is excess tissue just above the labia sitting on the pubic bone, this causes the FUPA to drop. A low FUPA can be lifted, elevated, and reduced with other surgical procedures such as liposuction of the tummy, tummy tuck, or a mini tummy tuck.

Dr. Gurley is well-trained and Board Certified to perform liposuction. Many fat-reducing procedures exist, but there is only a gold standard. Getting the fat out, seeing it come out, and measuring it is real liposuction, which is the gold standard. Dr. Gurley performs different liposuction modifications on other body parts depending on what she wants to achieve. Ultrasound frequency-assisted liposuction dissolves the connections between fat compartments (cellulite). It essentially liquifies the fat and connective tissue, allowing Dr. Gurley to remove fullness from the areas where you need it smoothly.
“In my hands, this is the only system that can sculpt the body effectively,” says Dr. Gurley. “It’s powerful and effective.” Ensure you ask your Board Certified plastic surgeon for “real liposuction.”
