What does the procedure entail?
Labiaplasty: This routine surgical procedure is performed for cosmetic, hygienic, pain-relief or functional reasons. It can be performed alone or in conjunction with procedures such as a tummy tuck, breast surgery, liposuction or a pubic surgery. Pubic Surgery: The mons pubis, or in and around the female/male genitalia, is skin and fatty tissue. This area can be reduced, tightened, and lifted to restore normal secondary sexual characteristics in women or men.
What can I expect?
Labiaplasty: Immediately after surgery, women will see a difference. Labia are smaller and more contained. There will be temporary, minimal swelling. Normal routines are established the next day. More physical activities can resume in 3-4 weeks. Pubic Surgery: Reduction, lightening, and tightening of the tissues above the genitals instantly make the patient more comfortable. Downtime is dependent upon the specific surgical technique used, but most patients return to work and routine activities the next day.
Who is a good candidate?
You may consider labiaplasty if:
You aren't pleased with the size or shape of your inner or outer labia; your labia are visible through certain undergarments, swimsuits, or leggings; or if you experience labial irritation in the course of daily activities or during intimate activity. You may consider pubic surgery if:
You are self-conscious about the prominence, size, or swelling in the area above the genitals (pubis).
Real Artistic Outcomes
Labiaplasty: Because of aging, childbirth, or genetics, labia can become irritated and uncomfortable or they may be visible in clothing. Dr. Gurley understands that your comfort with your most intimate parts is essential. She's skilled at determining how best to alter your existing labia to provide the aesthetic look and the physical comfort you desire. The technique used is a one-time treatment which is delicate and precise.
Pubic surgery: Age, fluctuations in weight, childbirth, or genetics can affect the appearance of our public area. Women might have a droopy or fatty mons pubis which pushes the sensitive body parts lower. In men, accumulation of fat in this area can mask normal, male genitalia.
