What is the approximate cost for Breast Implant Removal and/or Replacement?

If at all possible, the original incision is used to prevent additional scarring. Typically removal and replacement of breast implants is pain free, while repositioning the implant may cause some discomfort after surgery. Dr. Gurley will consider changing the size or type of implant, or changing the location or position of the implant. Breast implant revision can be combined with reducing areola size, lifting the nipples, or tightening the skin of the breast, depending on your specific needs.

Most patients find it possible to stop pain medication after a single day of recovery. This allows you to resume normal activities within 24-48 hours, including driving and returning to work. Strenuous activity is discouraged for 4-6 weeks after the surgery. Dr. Gurley will provide you with specific post-operative care instructions based on your procedure and your specific anatomy.

Patients seek out Dr. Gurley for a variety of reasons. This procedure might be right for you if:

You want to change the size of your existing implants.

You want to change your implants from saline to silicone.

You want to correct an initial surgery or address issues related to the position of the breasts or asymmetry that may have arisen following your first procedure.

You want to revitalize the appearance of your breasts due to changes resulting from pregnancy, weight loss, weight gain, or age.
